Welcome and About This Site

Welcome, gentle readers.

Stephen King, in On Writing, says he likes hanging around with other writers because “we never ask one another where we get our ideas. We know we don't know.” That makes me laugh, because it's true—the question I dread most is: “Where do you get your ideas?” My answer to that changes daily, and all the different answers are true. And not.

So, although you won't find the answer to “where do you get your ideas?” on this web site, you'll find lots of other stuff, including information on my books, an exhibit of different cover designs and my truthful opinions about them, and biographical information with links to interviews.

If you're looking for ongoing news and commentary, go to "Jim McCoy's Big Blog" (where you will learn who Jim McCoy is). You can also subscribe to get the blog delivered to you via email or RSS feed.

If you're a reader looking for information about me or my books, you've come to the right place; just click on the links in the menu at the left.

If you're doing a project for school on one of my books and need author information, go read the interviews under “About Nancy.”

If you're a teacher or librarian and need teacher's guides, book talks, and speaking information, go to “For Teachers & Librarians."

If you're a writer, God help you—and take a look at “For Writers.”

Finally, thanks for visiting my web site, and for your interest.

-Nancy
